If No, please provide reasons and suggestions.
My comments relate to the Fire Systems Design sections relating to NSW.
The qualifications requirements are unrealistic.
Any degree in civil, hydraulic or water services engineering DOES NOT generally include approved training in the application and use of the NCC. Much of the actual competency comes from learning outside the degree program. There are other engineering qualifications that may be equally appropriate.
A degree in fire safety engineering is not required to be able to perform Water-Based Firefighting and Fire Suppression design. Some may have a mechanical engineering degree, or certificate, or a trade qualification and then learned on the job from other practitioners.
Diplomas are not commonly available for fire system design for either Water-Based Firefighting and Fire Suppression or Fire Detection Alarm and Warning Systems. Many practitioners have learned from other practitioners in the work place.
