NCC 2019 Section J Stakeholder Survey
Overview
In 2018, the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) consulted with industry on changes to the National Construction Code (NCC) 2019 for the Section J energy efficiency requirements of commercial buildings. Through the public comment period the ABCB tested a number of communication tools and resources to help practitioners and businesses understand their obligations, how to comply with the requirements in practice, as well as the benefits of the changes.
With the transition period for the Section J energy efficiency requirements ending on 30 April 2020, we are developing a strategy to guide the approach to further raise awareness of the changes across the range of professions impacted by the requirements.
Why your views matter
The ABCB would like to understand your needs and experiences in understanding and adopting the new energy efficiency requirements in Section J. Your feedback will shape our approach to communicating and engaging practitioners as we move from the transition period to adoption.
