To be in line with AS 4775 - 2007:
- Cannot round up/down some specifications and not others (inconsistent).
- Change flushing fluid delivery temperature from between 16 - 38⁰C to 15.6°C to 37.8°C.
- Add ‘minimum’ to flow rates required, as the flow rate cannot be exact
- Change 75.1 to 75.7
- Reference: AS 4775(2007), page 6:
o ‘minimum flow rate of 75.7 L/min’
o ‘A recommended temperature range for tepid fluids is 15.6°C to 37.8°C’

To be in line with AS 4775 - 2007:
- Remove ‘low pressure’ from the following sentence:
- The affected body part/s are flushed, typically for a minimum of 15 minutes using a large and clean supply of flushing fluid (drinking water) under low pressure.
- AS 4775 – 2007 states providing fluid at low velocity not pressure.
- Reference: AS 4775(2007), page 6:
6 PLUMBED AND SELF-CONTAINED EMERGENCY SHOWERS
6.1 General
Emergency showers are designed to deliver high volumes of flushing fluid at
significant fluid pressure. They are not suitable for use as an eyewash station.
6.2 Performance of shower heads
A means shall be provided to ensure that a controlled flow of flushing fluid is
provided at a velocity low enough to be non-injurious to the user.

- Add 304, 304L and 304LN stainless steel or could add 'PREN not less than 16' instead (this includes 304 and 316).
- 316 is not necessary for all these applications
- Very few suppliers of 316 s/s in Australian Emergency Showers Market
